Lesson #140: Helicopters

I caught back up with my friend in Jerusalem today and had a morning at the museum* before heading out with her and a couple of her friends to explore the shuq…this ended with us heading to their favourite bar to have a few drinks. Her friends decided they were going to do helicopter shots.

I abstained for two reasons. First, I’m not a liquor drinker and secondly, it smelled horrid.

Helicopters, it turns out are made from 151 and green chartreuse. They’re lit on fire, suctioned to one’s hand, swirled around and chugged.

My liver thanks me for not partaking.

*The museum is undergoing extensive renovations and therefore the Pilate Stone was not available for viewing…but I did see the Dead Sea Scrolls, which was pretty awesome!
